Yoga is a practical aid, not a religion. Yoga is an ancient art based on a harmonizing system of development for the body, mind, and spirit. The continued practice of yoga will lead you to a sense of peace and well-being, and also a feeling of being at one with their environment.

Yoga Club

Yoga is an antidote to our fast-paced, technology-based society in which we never stop to relax, dig deeper, and learn more about ourselves and the world around us.

Yoga improves sleep and balance and it increases immunity and energy level. The psychological benefits are: it improves memory attention learning efficiency and concentration.

The Inaugural function of Yoga Club was conducted on 20-12-12 in VIETW Seminar hall. The function was started with Tamil Thai Valthu by G.Pradeepa of I ECE ‘B’ students and the Kuthu vilakku was lighted by the dignitaries. The Chief Guest, Yoga Master of Vivekanandha Educational Institutions, T.Ramesh, delivers the inaugural address. He detailed the advantages of Yoga and moreover he specified that he is the living example for the practice of Yoga. He explained that the little finger, ring finger, middle finger, index finger, and the thumb represent the person, relatives, world, the person’s ambitions and wishes and the self. The guest quotes Avaiyar’s and Bharathiyar’s poetic lines to describe the necessity of practising yoga regularly. The volunteer demonstrated a simple yoga pose and the spectators enthusiastically participated and repeat it. He promised to train the students for half an hour in the ensuing semester. The viewers appreciated his speech. : Miss .Soundariya Kannan I B.E CSE ‘B’ proposed Vote of thanks and the function ended with National Anthem.
